so Pig latin which was mentioned in the book Holes is having the reference at least 20% of the book because it Gives a explanation of one of the characters in the book.

This is how the rules of pig latin go:
Steps
  1. Remove the preceding consonant(s) from the word and put them at the end.
  2. Add "ay" to the end of the word.
    • Example:
    • Pig Latin = igpay atinlay
    • Paint the fence white = aintpay ethay encefay itewhay
    • Don't slump = on'tday umpslay
    • My dog = ymay (pronounced eye-may) ogday
  3. Add "-way" to the end of one-syllable words that start with a vowel, and leave the first letter in front.
    • Example:
    • it = itway
    • arm = armway
    • up = upway

Some exceptions

    • isthmus = isthmusay
    • ingenious - ingeniousay
    • archery = archeryay
    • ending = endingay
    • ultimate = ultimateay
  2. Compound words work better when you split them into separate words.
    • bedroom = edbay oomray
    • toothbrush = oothtay ushbray
    • wallpaper = allway aperpay

Tips

  • when you start to speak pig latin, you could speak slowly if you make a mistake you can correct it. after some time, you will have the ability to speed up.
  • There is a definite rhythm and flow to the language - often it takes some experimentation to get it smooth.
  • There are also variations of Pig Latin where, instead of adding "-way" to the end of words that start with a vowel, you add "-hey," "-yay," or simply "-ay" (e.g., "arm" would be "armhey," "armyay," or "armay").
  • Some people put dashes in front of the suffix. E.g., ome-say eople-pay ut-pay ashes-day in-way ont-fray of-way e-thay uffix-say.
  • All words should begin with a vowel.
